On October 25 and 26, Leonard Friesen, history professor at Wilfrid Laurier University, will deliver two lectures on the Russian Mennonite story. The “golden age,” the middle years, of Mennonites living in Russia are better known than the early and late years. Friesen will give
talks on these “bookend” eras: early colonization 1789-1848, and winding down 1953-1991. Both lectures will take place at the Mennonite Heritage Museum, Friday at 7 pm and Saturday at 2 pm. Register by calling 604-758-5667.
